I've been to Sheringham several times, but never been on the railway. I'm going back there later this year so maybe it's time I gave it a go!

Yes I have. But why do you ask? The railway does a pre-xmas trip to Santa's Grotto and serves a mince pie (and sherry for the older ones). Its a steam train and is very atmospheric in a Harry Potter sort of way.

No, but I've been up to the top of Mount Snowdon in North Wales on a train - surely the most exciting rail trip in Britain?

I take my kids on there all time, it's fantastic shooting up to Holt, getting some tea & scones and then trip back.

Not to clever this time of year though. Thomas the Tank Engine is best before Christmas.

Oh yeah! Great fun, especially if you get a steam train (not all of them are when it's out of season).

Have a run out on it - its only short run but it is worth it.
