Are there any ingredients in the San Francisco Bay Certified Organic Rainforest Blend Shade Grown 100% Arabica coffee that could make him, i.e., vomiting, dry heaves, severe headaches, trembling and total exhaustion. We are trying to find the cause of his illness by process of elimination. He is a disabled vet and the Veterans Hospital t is 90 miles from us and he is not able to drive that far. The wait in the emergency room there could be as long as 3 to 5 hrs. Does anyone have any answers or know of anyone who may have this problem? I would appreciate replies and thank you.

I don't know the ingredients but I would make sure he is drinking lots of water to flush it out of his system. Have him take a hot bath and sweat it out and have him drink tea with lemon and lots of water. Don't drink the coffee anymore. If there is a supplier nearby, call them for what is in it.

There might not be a connection to the coffee at all, just a coincidental infection. This is flu season and form what you describe, that could be a strong possibilty. Is there a local family physician you can go to? Vomiting and headaches are concerning symptoms and should not be dismissed lightly, they can be signs of serious infection.

I seriously doubt that the coffee is the cause of your husband's illness.

These are serious symptoms. It sounds like the flu to me. How long has this been going on? If it's been more that 2-3 days or if he also has high fever, I really think you should go to the doctor immediately even if it is so far.

But if you don't go to the doctor make sure to prevent dehydration. Push fluid or suck on ice cubes if he can't keep them down. Keep a close eye on him in case it worsens.

One way to find out if it's the coffee is to stop drinking that kind. Go back to a kind that didn't bother him.

I would go to the hospital. It may or may not be the coffee. I have a disabled husband, and with all those symptoms, there's no question that he needs medical attention right away.
He could be massively dehydrated, or there could be a much bigger problem like a blood clot.

I dont think just by drinking coffe, you husbandcould have become sick, you have not mentioned for how many days he was drinking that coffe and after consuming the coffe for hwo many days he became sick. This should be some sort of allergy or by the symptoms which you have mentioned it might influenza.
