I really want skin which is hydrated, smooth and no pores or spots. Whenever I try sport cream on my forehead, it dries it out in a couple of days. I've tried drinking water, it helps a bit but my legs are still dry. My forehead has some spots on them and on my face I have these pores and little bumps which look clear spots. How can I get rid of it, without buying lots of products? Any natural remedies or food?

The only vegetable I like is sweetcorn. What type of fruits do you recommend I should eat?

Keep your body healthy and it will come out in your skin. I know its an old cliché but it really is true. I have the problem that I don't like fruit and veg very much and I don't like to exercise and I don't like water, but on the occasions where I have really put my mind to sorting myself out (force feeding myself fruit & veg and drinking flavoured water) it has worked and I have felt so much better about myself. My face cleared up and my skin glowed.

Eat healthily, exercise, invest in a good facial sauna, take some good vitamins (visit holland & barratt) and away you go... Good Luck!

Here's what i use. I had acne really bad, spots everywhere, big cystic ones, small "sandpaper" type bumps, everything! I use Apple Cider Vinegar. I wash using soap, pat dry, and then apply ACV to my face with a cotton wool ball. Don't worry about the smell, it will go after a couple of mins. It is great for smoothing out the skin tone. Also I use Oxy on the Spot cream, which kills the bumps you talk about. It is drying, as you say, but if you use Sudocrem over the top (which is a nappy rash cream) it will stop the drying and is great for soft skin. I promise you these 3 things will sort out your skin!

Salmon is great for your skin and along with drinking water which you're already doing.

Maybe you're not exfoliating enough and all the dead skin is staying trapped on your face from all the lotions you've been putting on?
Try a loofah for your legs, that'll exfoliate them nicely, along with another exfoliatant for your face.
Don't itch your legs! You may be doing that as well from the dry skin, I know itching feels amazing but it'll be even worse after

I guess for nice skin it's all about taking care of it. I'd start with a gentle face wash for, maybe one made for sensitive skin? If you're still dry and then try a face wash made for extra dry skin.
Don't load on your make up, that'll clog pores big time.
You can never get rid of pores, they're naturally on your face - you can make them smaller though
Go to the drug store and ask for a face wash, astrigent and then lotion. Wash your face in those 3 steps. Face wash is there to get all the grim off, astrigent will tighten pores and lotion will moisturize.
Good luck

I agree with the eat well and exercise brigade. Of course a lot of it is genetic (and hormone related), so there's only so much you can do.

Try to avoid lotions and potions - these are really unnecessary and I'm sure the chemicals are no good for us. If you do want to use cosmetic products check out what they have at Lush. Loads of natural stuff, no (or little) preservatives, not animal tested and really friendly helpful staff.

Above all, avoid products tested on animals: what's the point of having good skin if it's the result of causing harm to other creatures?

Simply drink 8-10 glasses of water, it really works.
Moisturise your body morning and night in a cream of your choice.
Your pores are more difficult i think there was an advert that claimed a certain product could close them up more (not completely however) - sorry dont know the name of it.

There are quite a few good points given but...rarely does one have spot free or perfect skin, you're not alone.
here are some suggestions: (inexpensive), for body: go to healthfood store and ask for "cold pressed olive oil" (wont have oder), to create you're own lotion, get "musk oil" pour olive oil into a plastic squirt bottle and add drops of "musk oil" until it has scent to you're liking, now you have a great and inexpensive and personalised Lotion. Can be used all over. We use it in Salons for body massage.
The bumps, sounds like embedded white heads, if so, will need to be extracted by a professional Skin Technician.
Do try to drink lots of water and if you dont like vegies, drink a V8 juice daily or twice. Hope this helps.

I share your pain. My skin is ultra dry, too. I find that using a thick, creamy body wash such as Olay's Body Ribbons when in the shower and then using Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion after your shower. Both heal your skin quickly and effectively. For your face, use Neutrogena's Visibly Even Night Concentrate. It's mostly to make your skin tone more even and healthy looking, but it does help with dry spots. It's jam packed with soy and vitamin c so it will also help to heal your skin quickly.

If you want to take a oral remedy, then take fish oil. It helps dry skin and it is actually prove to show to clear your skin of pimples. Unfortunately it can take a while to kick in.

I hope this helped you!

I would suggest upping the amount of Omega Oils (3 & 6) that you have in your diet. The quickest way is a spoonful of Udo's oil each morning - your skin will be so soft after a week - you won't believe it!
Then I would recommend using Neals Yard Wild Rose Balm on your face - it comes with a little muslin cloth - so you're exfoliating - its organic and smells heavenly! Your face will be smooth and glowing. Good Luck!

Drinking 8-10 glasses of water, fresh salads fruits and vegetables are the key to beautiful skin. You must have atleast 5 portions of fruits and vegetables in your diet everyday and try to have a rainbow (Different colours of fruits and vegetable). Olives and avacados moisturise your skin from with in. Once a week steam your face. Cleanse your skin with mild moisturising soap. Dont forget to exercise atleast for 20 min everyday.

Sometimes spots can derive from cysts in your ovary.Better if you ask a dermatologist or gynecologist.Because in case taking the pill can be a solution. Then do not eat/drink: junk food, fried food, alcholic drinks, etc. Clay masks help, but you can even make your own mask (my grandmom teaches): a bit of milk shaken with some lemon juice.Leave it for some time on the spots.
