What do you find disgusting? Annoying?

People who eat smelly food on subways or buses - and then they usually leave their garbage on the train; men urinating in the street; food vendors urinating in the street, don't wash their hands and then go back to their cart and sell you a dirty water dog - ewwww; people who spit on the sidewalk; stepping in chewing gum. Children whose parents let them cry in restaurants and movie theaters. A special peeve of mine - hawkers outside of restaurants who don't take no for an answer - they practically drag you into the restaurant.

Great question, although I tend to see more weird, crazy stuff than I do flat out disgusting stuff. I have a dog so the dog **** everywhere doesn't even register as nasty anymore. I also saw a lot more gross stuff living in Chicago than I ever have ion NYC.

So gross stuff I have seen in NYC:

1. Homeless man dropping his pants and taking the nastiest, liquid poo on a car bumber

2. i had to grab a chicken bone that my dog picked up, and when I dropped it back on the grough a huge rat came right out and grabbed it.

3. Someone (probably same guy from #1) pooing in my apartment building hallway

4. Seen tons of drunks vomiting

5. A restaurant closed for renovations, I looked in the window and the floor was just teeming in hundreds of rats and mice.

My #1 annoyance is when people, usually tourists, abruptly stop in the middle of the sidewalk to figure out where they're going or what they're doing, making everyone eslse push to get around them.

I love all the funny stuff I have seen here, it makes up for all the annoying aspects of city life.

The winner for most disgusting thing I have seen in NYC.
10) A solid blanket of cockroaches coating the entire floor in a lower east side bar restroom.
9) A man picking up a lolly-pop his kid dropped on the train floor and plopping it back in the kids mouth.
8) A crackhead looking gentleman drinking cleaning solution he found in an unlocked box on the subway platform at 145th.
7) A employee of a subway newsstand killing a rat he caught by stepping on it, then hucking the carcass onto the tracks.
6) A homeless woman rummaging through a slop filled trash can, pulling out various goop covered items, and placing them in her hobo cart.
5) Two 'little people' making out and dry humping freely at a bar in Hell's Kitchen.
4) The kitchen area of a nasty take out Chinese place in Brooklyn. You couldn't have imagined something so grotesque.
3) Homeless man urinating on tracks at 42nd street station during rush hour. Ballsy and disgusting.
2) A chain reaction of projectile vomiting induced by a mysterious bad odor, effecting almost everyone within the area. Vomit. Everywhere.
1) The homeless guy in green sweatpants that sleeps at the 5th Ave/53rd st station. Clearly masturbating under his coat, many nights when I get off work... You sir. Are the yuckiest thing I have to see in allllll of New York. Congratulations!

Homeless, crazy people and rats in the subway..You don't really see many dogs pooping randomly on the sidewalks. Also, watching people throw garbage on the street when there are garbage pails everywhere - that's the most disgusting.
It's a shame so many homeless are out there though, when their are so many insanely rich people.

Many people, including myself getting sprayed by the toxic garbage juice that squirts out of the sides of the back of the garbage truck when it compacts the garbage bags.

Many, many men masturbating on the street. One homeless guy went into the store I was working in while I was alone with his erect penis out, aimed right at me. He kept saying 'Hi Hi Hi Hi' while furiously rubbing it. I had to throw books at him to get him to leave. Another guy 'finished' masturbating while standing in a doorway while staring at me smoking a cigarette.

A drunk man that walks up and down Avenue A who occasionally stops to drain the mucus from his tracheotomy with a straw onto the middle of the sidewalk. He does this often.

Homeless people who's pants are covered in feces. Seriously.

A person who was quietly sitting in a pool of blood on the subway as if nothing was strange about it. It appeared to be coming out of his butt. He got up when the train stopped and calmly got off the train leaving the puddle of blood on the seat.

A junkie covered with sores and scabs that was standing in my hallway, right outside my apartment door with a hypodermic needle sticking out of his arm and blood running down his elbow dripping onto the floor. I groaned in total disgust and all he said was "sorry" but he didn't leave.

Two crazy homeless people having sex on the street against the garbage can on the corner in the middle of the day. The same woman who was having sex that day also used to spit all over rich yuppies and their food when they were eating at the outdoor cafe tables at the expensive French restaurant. She would laugh hysterically after she did it.
