There are no Five Star hotels in our around Palm Springs. Lots of four star though. The Ritz-Carlton was I believe but it is closed down for renovation. When it reopens it might very well be Five Star.

There are a few Marriott's in the area. Check their website. Renassaince Esmerelda in La Quinta is nice. Was there two weeks ago.

La Quinta Resort. (NO, this isn't the La Quinta Inn next to Denny's.) Very cool place with little individual suites with your own gas fire place. Lots of quiet places to relax. Not many children. Check it out on-line. You won't regret this choice.
