i just got the mixer and it's an oldone. it dose a good dry mix but once i add water to the mixture it stop mixing, the motor still runs but not the dough hook. the power of the motor is not transfering to the dough hook.

I hope you have a large bank account. Calling Hobie out to fix stuff is Not Cheap. Sounds like the motor is burning out and can't handle the consistency of the dough.

I just burned out an immersion blender that way a month ago.
