I always get leg cramps. Why not other parts of the body? Why a calf muscle one day or a hamstring the next?

Your calf cramps because the main muscle, there the Gastrocnemius, has very small arteries going to it and in people with large calfs they don't get enough blood flow. If you are getting hamstring cramps it is likely because your body is out of balance. Try to eat a healthy and drink plenty of water. That should do the trick.

Every muscle fiber in our bodies has a very delicate balance of electrolytes. when these electrolytes get out of balance, this can cause muscles to cramp up. Your brain has nothing to do with it. why the legs? They are large muscles that we use the most so more susceptible to imbalances. Hope this helps and drink LOTS of water.
