C. I see 'god' as nothing more than the creative life force of all that is....it does not require worship or supplication...it simply is...it is not some puny being that feels worthless if puny and petty human beings don't tell it that it is loved...and this great force...that is in each of us...caused...not created...all that is. Evolution is a fact and the great forces of life cannot be denied.

However in response to the two choices you gave...believing "god" made the world requires huge leaps of faith and an abandoment of reason. However, it is the more comfortable and easy path. Knowing the details of evolution requires more study and an open mind. This is the more mature and secure path, but it is not easy.

A definitely requires more thinking. Anyone can pick up a book of theories and regurgitate its contents, like so many proponents of evolution do.

But to consider that God made the world, you first have to think about who you are in the over-all scheme of things. Then you have to study the Bible to know more about the One Who may have made the universe.

Then you have to take a look at the intricate balance that allows life on this planet and weigh the evidence for the existence of the Creator whose plan was perfect. Yep, choice A definitely takes more thinking.

A. Believing God made the world...that requires blind faith and the need for thought. The details of evolution are scientific...something either is or isn't.

Believing has nothing to do with thinking.
Evolution: you don't need details. Look around: you see evolution happening. Example: some woman in Afrika are resistant to aids. Those genes will prevail. (BTW: later, when aids is fading away, a new disease will show up.)
There are many more examples like that.
But, if you look closer at science, never ever will you find a proven 'theory of everything'. As long as you don't have a theory of everything, you can't explain things.
Sure you can say God created things, but that still doesn't explain things (because you can always ask questions like: 'who created God?').

Knowing is so much different from believing and the religious people can't seem to see this because they have been blinded by the light which they say is God.

Religion has made them mentally lazy because they just accept everyhting in the bible without question and the result of this will leave them mentally dead.

I think the answer depends on the individual.

There are many theists and philosophers who have spent their lifetimes thinking about God and the creation of the world. Then again, there are hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of people who just believe what they're told because they're too lazy to think about it for themselves.

There are many scientists and non-scientists who have spent lots of time studying evolution and the origins of man and other species. Then again, there are hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of people who just believe it because they're too lazy to think about it for themselves.

They both require an equal amount of thinking. But nothing requires more thinking than how to do those MAD fold-ins without tearing the page.

Both take thinking.

Buying into the "details" of creation requires much more faith, since it is a theory.

I propose to follow the middle way. That needs hard thinking about both options and keeping an open mind.

black atheist - sounds like you are very open minded.

You can know the scientific details of evolution and still believe in God.
