Junk food is happy food. I could eat tacos all day, all week, all month, all year. Without a doubt, I will die with a smile on my face. Yet the fact that I am happy will increase my lifespan by about 10 years.

It really is a matter of will power. I know it is really hard...my main thing is sweets. I found some healthier substitutes so if I am having a craving that won't go away I can splurge. When you get an urge to reach for some junk food grab some grapes or something you like that is healthy.....drink lots of water (it really does feel you up and gives you energy) and try to work through the craving..a craving usually last for 10 minutes. What is your major type of junk food? See if you can find a way not to have it around. I have been w/o major sweets for almost two weeks and feel so much better! Try different methods to see which works for you...avoidance, substitute or just a tiny bite to satisfy your craving, alternative activities. I am a strong believer that a diet/health regimen has to be made on an individual basis, what works for someone else is not going to work for you because everyone has different triggers and needs. Goodluck

Stop buying those junk food & storing them at home in the first place. Store fruits like grapes, oranges and apples instead. Then you will start taking more of them soon.

Set goals like, "I shall not take any junk food for the next 3 days".
If you do it, reward yourself with something you like expect eating junk food. After the reward, repeat it expect try for a longer period. If you don't? Well, reflect why you failed. Then try again.

Keep doing it. Good luck!

Oh yes, finding out more about how those food are made can be useful. Also, research about the damages they do to their body. These can really help to quite a great extend. You'll be shocked.

Never go to the store when u r hungry. Youll buy anything that sounds good even junk food. Once you don't have much (any) junk food, you wont eat that but healthy food. Youll get used to that healthy food and be off the junk food.

I agree its very hard to get off the junkfood. It tastes so good and our mind and body are used to it. First off, if your SERIOUS about eating healthy, then don,t buy junkfood. Instead of reaching for the Devil Dogs at the supermarket reach for an apple or a banana. BELIEVE ME there is nothing more rewarding than eating healthy and there are alot of good healthy food and snacks out there. You have to be more open to try healthier foods and snacks, trust me some of the healthy snacks out there taste better than the junkfood u eat. So for now eat some fruit and vegetables instead of cupcakes, believe me your body will reward for the transition between junk to healthy. TRY IT

i have to same kind of problem. To me i look at it at this way. When you eat healthy and excercise your getting fit. When you eat junk food, it cancels out all the exercise you did. So actually, when you exercise and eat junkfood you haven't gotten anywhere. Your back from when you started. You haven't lost weight or gained weight.
