Tattoos hurt ANYWHERE you put them. Some people have a higher pain tolerance than others. They hurt a lot more when done on your spine or any area where there isn't much fat tissue between the skin and the bone. Your"thing" has an EXTREME amount of nerve endings, and I would assume it would hurt SEVERELY. I've seen a picture of a guy who had his whole penis completely done as a flying dragon with the head peirced... it was erect in the picture which also poses another question.... would you have to be erect to have the tattoo done??!

Yes, getting a tatoo hurts and stings. I don't think your "thing" is a good place for it but if that's where you want it, go for it.
Make sure the place is safe and the artist knows what he/she is doing.

I have no idea if it would hurt but you must think about that you will not be able to have sex with the tattoo still open and healing. This can give you a STD faster if you are not safe. Get it pierced first and then tell me if it hurts. B/c that will help it be answered but I have no penis.
