Perhaps God is seeking vengeance with an outstretched arm, as retaliation for the way the election went when Bush was first elected. Remember all the confusion over the ballots in Florida? And now that the middle east is a total mess thanks to the US-led invasion, perhaps this is a sign of God's anger. The Bible does speak about weather-related disasters, so who knows.

Nope, it's just that Florida is one of the most tornado-struck areas other than Tornado Alley, and they always get hurricanes. It's all climate and weather related stuff... has nothing to do with religion at all.
If you still think God hates Florida, then how come they had a relatively inactive Hurricane Season last year?

You mean the business men are taking a beating. It doesn't bother me, I don't get my oranges from there. Did God hate New Orleans a couple of years ago? Did you know that America is the tornado capital of the world, does God hate America? Scientists just announced that they have proof positive that man has caused global warning, so stop blaming God, put the blame where it belongs, squarely on man.

No, God does not hate Florida, or any other city or Nation. He loves all equally.

However, Satan now dwells on earth, not in hell, as that is where he will go to after the Battle of Armageddon (Job 1:7)

Ephesians 2.1-2: Multidimensional Sin Warfare ⇒ Sin has a supernatural component. Sin is synonymous w/ the “ruler of the power of the air,” or “from above, supernaturally speaking” (The Evil One) So, Satan is the ruler over the air, as he is the evil one.

God does not cause storms or natural disasters, He allows Satan to cause them for a purpose we do not know. He is allowed free reign over the air, but cannot do anything without God allowing it to happen. We are made stronger through our weaknesses, the Bible tells us. Thus I must surmise that things God allowed, are to help us to overcome our fears, to be tests of our faith, etc. It is we who determine what the outcome will be according to our reactions to these things. BUT many things are coming upon the earth at an ALARMING RATE & with GREAT INTENSITY!

BUT ... Sometimes God allows things to happen because He is also WARNING a Nation. These I believe are the birth pangs of the coming Messiah.

When we properly understand the importance of the prophetic signs by which we can know the End of the Age is approaching, we will be much better prepared when the prophesied terrible events begin to break over our heads. However, before we review these signs, we need to understand the context into which Jesus placed these signs. This context is found in verse 8: "All these are the beginning of sorrows." This word, "sorrows" has changed dramatically since the the KJV scholars translated, for it effectively hides the true meaning of the word Jesus really used. This word is Strong's Number, 'G5604', which really means the "pangs of childbirth". The Amplified Bible Commentary renders the verse correctly and with proper emphasis:

"What are the signs of the end times?"

Answer:
* Matthew 24:5-8 gives us some important clues so we can discern the approach of the end times, “For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters – these items are “signs” of the end times. Even in this passage, though, we are given a warning. We are not to be deceived (Matthew 24:4), because these events are only the beginning of birth pains (Matthew 24:8), the end is still to come (Matthew 24:6).

* Many interpreters point to every earthquake, every political upheaval, and every attack on Israel as a sure sign that the end times are rapidly approaching. While these events are signs that the end times are approaching, they are not necessarily indicators that the end times have arrived. The Apostle Paul warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. “In the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1). The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and people who actively “resist the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-9; see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3).

* Other possible signs would include a rebuilding of a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, increased hostility towards Israel, and advances toward a one-world government. The most prominent sign of the end times, however, is the nation of Israel. In 1948, Israel was recognized as a sovereign state for the first time since 70 A.D. God promised Abraham that his posterity would have Canaan as “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8), and Ezekiel prophesied a physical and spiritual resuscitation of Israel (Ezekiel 37). Having Israel as a nation in its own land is important in light of end-time prophecy, because of Israel’s prominence in eschatology (Daniel 10:14; 11:41; Revelation 11:8).

"All this is but the beginning the early pains of the birth pangs of the intolerable anguish." So we MUST BE READY for His return. The Bible ALSO SAYS that men's hearts will fail them for fear, when they see what is coming upon the earth. However for the believers [i.e. His saints/bride] this time will be shortened, otherwise no person would be saved/spared from the horrible wrath to come.

CURRENTLY we are experiencing the Birth Pangs dear. However when they are over ??? THAT is when God shall pour out HIS OWN WRATH upon mankind, this is the only time He will actually not allow [BUT CAUSE] the things which are to come.

Love Light & Peace,
Jewel

No...
It is the weather itself... Florida is too hot and the cold front went by there and upset the wind... and that is why they have bad storms.
