I know a guy has liked me for over a year. We went bowling at school Friday. He admit he likes me. I went over to the guy I like and the guy that likes me came with. I said I like him not you. He whisperd something in the guy I like's ear. He went back to his lane and so did I. Then, shortlly before we leave he started crying. I asked his friend why he was crying and he said because of me. At first I'm like wow I made a boy cry, but now I feel guilty and bad for him. He is not cute, is smart, somewhat nice, and somewhat funny. I think that is really sweet that he likes me, but I'm not the right girl for him. Or am I? Do I like him? I don't want to. What should I do? What should I say? Help!!??

Don't worry, sweetheart. Go with what you feel. Life is full of hard knocks and the boy that likes you just got one. Life is a learning process and sometimes we just don't get what we want. Please don't feel guilty. If you dated him even though you don't like him too much, you'll just end up breaking his heart anyway. It's got to happen so it's better to do it now. First apologize for making him feel humilated in front of people. You dont go to another guy and say I like him and not you. It kills a guy's ego. Then let him know that you think he is a nice guy but you like him as a friend. If you do want to go out with him to see if something is there then ask and see what he says. He might not being the way you treated him. Im not trying to be mean but you did hurt his feelings.
You cant judge people by their looks. If I did then I wouldnt be dating the most wonderful guy I am seeing right now. He is overweight and there are some people who wouldnt have looked twice. He treats me wonderfully and I him.
Give him a shot for you might miss out on something.

Your confusion is a "stop sign," to not proceed, until you've sorted out your emotions. A wise & responsible thing for you to decide. Most ppl have a first impression of everyone they meet and most ppl should follow their first intuition. Yours determined this guy was the not the right guy for you. Reconsidering your decision and mixed-emotions were provoked by "his emotions," which overwhelmed your heart with compassion. It wasn't a sign or indication that you made a wrong decision. There's nothing wrong with being friendly and expressing your compassion to this young man, whom you're not attracted to as you would a bf. In fact expressing/exposing your compassion to him, in a friendly personal way will guarantee a clear conscience, respect & admiration from gf's and guys, as well as a new-found friend! You've got nothing to lose and even more to gain!

Well ... honestly, i sounds like you don't like him .... you're just trying to like him because you feel slightly guilty for making him cry....
don't confuse the guy even more ...
you could however, apologize to him and talk to him nicely BUT remember to be clear (without being mean) that you are only to remain friends....

You can't help the way someone feels. I f you go and tell him you like him and then realise that you said it because you feel sorry for him then you'll only confuse him and make it worse. You have to be cruel to be kind sometimes otherwise you will just dig yourself into a hole.

Seriously, I think you should apologize to him. It's not proper for a person especially a girl to humiliate someone in front of somebody.
The least you can do when he admits that he likes you is to just laugh it away. Trust me it's hurts on our part if girls do the thing you just did, we also have feelings .

hun looks dont matter its whats inside go tell him you are sorry for what u had done and tell him how u really feel in a kind caring way intead of a mean unpleasent way maybe he would understand and comprehend better that way!

I think you need to step back and ask yourself how you feel about him. If you honestly find that you don't have any romantic feelings for him then you need to leave him be. He will work everything out himself you may just need to give him the time to. Don't feel guilty he needs to work his own feelings out.
