I realize your question may not be sincere since you think that God may be an ape, but per chance you aren't teasing, I'll post an answer.
Not really. It is true that animals, birds, etc. evolve, but only within their own species. For example, there is the mistaken idea that Noah had two of every animal on the ark. He didn't. He had two of every species. Don't know where you live, but below are two links to some very informative sites. If you like to get to the truth like I do, especially when it comes to the Bible, you should find these to your liking. I live close to the one in Glen Rose and have heard the director, Dr. Baugh, speak several times. He has some very interesting information.

Well in answer to question 1, yes, they can, but not by biblical standards. There could be a creator that sparked evolution into motion, but there is no way any of it happened in 6 days, no matter how you slice it.. the bible says the evening and the morning were the first day, and there is no scientific evidence that days were significantly long enough to go into millions of years. Evolution is a fact.. there is enough evidence to prove it. Scientifically, it is impossible to prove a negative, so the existence of God cannot be disproven.. therefore, the two can be compatible.
As to the second part of your question, your obvious lack of evolutionary knowledge is showing. Man did not evolve from apes, but from a common ancestor (evidence: dikika baby, full intact skeleton).
Therefore, God cannot be an ape.
