of course you can change the world. Its the basic premise of existence, although its like walking along the high tide mark.
The footprints are there, showing your passing, but they eventually erode to the water.

I, as an individual, can only attempt to change my small part of the world.
By being a positive influence on those I come in contact with, and by being an example to others.

Everything in existance is inter-dependant. If you are happy, you make the universe (the world at least) a little happier, and visa versa if you are sad.
