I think your missing the point entirely!! Atheists don't believe there is a God! So when they see someone praying or talking to the air..well..they tend to steer clear! Although some of my best friends are God believers and I praise them for their devotion! For me..it just doesn't work! We don't argue with you that there is no God, we just don't believe there is a God! There is a difference! I am not an angry person so I avoid arguments at all costs! To me, you will not believe there is no God and to you, I will not believe there is a God! So to keep things in perspective, I smile and move on! I respect my friends for their beliefs and they respect me for mine! No need to argue or hate!

If they are praying silently they are talking to themselves.
If they are praying out loud they are talking to themselves and those within earshot.
I hope you aren't trying to prove the existence of God by this line of questioning. By that logic if I throw a baseball there must be someone there to catch it, if I address an envelope then the place must exist, and if I write a check to a made up name that person will instantly come into existence.

Atheist probably don't believe in something that they cannot see and after they die, they probably believe that they will not be punished for their sins by anyone. We cannot see God, but we still believe there is a God. We can see all the wonders of the world that God gave us, All one has to do is look in the mirror and see a miracle that happened when we were born, we are all walking miracles! God is like the wind, you cannot see that neither! but you know it is there!

The answer is that, there is a god. There is only one God, who is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. They just beleive people who pray are just talking to themselves. Atheists claim when we die, we are gone forever. Our body dies, yes. But does our spirit die, no. If you beleive in Jesus Christ as you God and Savior, he will comfort you when you trust in him, and when you die, you will live with him forever in heaven.
