God does forgive ALL of our sins- past, present and future- however, you left the most important thing out- it is not in the asking for forgiveness that we are forgiven, it is in Christ's dying on the Cross- that is the only way to be forgiven. Born again Christians are people that believe that Christ paid the price that we could never pay. Those who are not believers think it could be this cycle that never ends- however if you are truly born again, Christ can change you and and you can become like Him more and more each day. His dying on the cross made a way so that we cannot sin. And also He rose so that we can have a personal relationship with Him, now and forever more. Granted, Christians are not perfect, but that should not be the normal response of people who have been re-generated by the Holy Spirit- The passage that you are quoting really is- All sin and fall short of the glory of God- that is why we need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us and to receive His righteousness, because it is true- we are all sinners in need of a Savior- He came to set us free!!

1.) It's not that we were born bad. We were born with the original sin that Adam and Eve committed in the Garden of Eden ...

2.) ... Which leads us to needing God more than ever because He is holy and only He can make us the "perfect" people we were meant to be in the first place ...

3.) ... and we can be that by being holy and blameless in God's sight; that is, be in right standing before God by repenting of our sins ...

4.) ... but that doesn't mean we have the license to commit wrongdoing just because "we are forgiven every time". It's just that "...as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant." (Rom.5:20b)

5.) ... and to be able to live fully in Christ, one has to be reborn, or revived in the Spirit. That is, forgetting everything you were and knew and just renewing yourself and submitting to the lordship of Jesus Christ ...

6.) ... and I admit, I knew nothing before, and I still know nothing now, except that "... God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." (Rom.5:8)

So yes, that is the general pattern of a victorious Christian life. :)

It's funny to me that you posted this question. I was just discussing this very thing this morning with a friend. I was a christian for 20 years, and the pattern you've described is one of the reasons I finally woke up and got out of that mess.
It's a never ending cycle with christianity, and to me, it's the worst disease to hit mankind ever. Thankfully, I got cured and innoculated against it.
