Now we know ALL men want to take you far away from all your family, friends, and everything you love and go build you a house in the middle of the woods. The house will have a wood stove and your male hero will bring home the hunted animals for you to "prepare".
But what ALL females want is a brand new huge home with all the amenities, central air, forced air, lots of buttons and switches that do it all.
Is this the Venus/Mars problem? And why is it that men insist they are doing this to make the FEMALE happy? Is it in male DNA? Is it the X factor? Please explain.

Improper training. A properly trained male knows to ask what the woman wants and not assume.

I don't believe all men want to do such a thing but I, for one would do anything to have a home in the woods. I wouldn't disown my family though at any cost and if any man I had thought that was part of the deal, well, he'd have to take a hike.
I think this world had got their priorities in the wrong direction. Life was much simpler back when women were able to stay home and have the full time job of raising their families. I'm not talking about the couch potatoes either. I was very involved in my children's life and I don't regret a moment of it. If anything I miss those years. I still worked when my children were young, but they still came first and always will.
If I live long enough in this world, I will live in the woods away from all the chaos. Who needs the stress anyway. Right now I just work to stay on the merry go round and I don't even own a house. I have the live in boyfriend who talks about having a home in the woods, but going on 4 years and I don't see too much advancement in that direction. For all you woman who want those fast paced items, I suggest you stay single and go for it. It just seems so fake and lonely.

i wold love to live in a house in the middle of the woods! my husband and i plan to retire to just such a place. in answer, it goes back to our ancestors when men were the hunter/ guardian of the family unit and women were the nurturer/ gatherer. by tradition, even as recently as the 50's, men were still the providers and women the homemakers. women took to new technology as it developed in housekeeping areas, just as men took to the tv remote and faster cars and high tech tools.
i don't think you can make a general statement about what "all men" and "all women" want. i know many men who hate the woods and hate camping or being without all the modern conveniences, just as i know many women who would love to get away from all of it. this is where the advances in technology today come from.
in my own opnion, many people today are becoming tired of the pushbutton world and are looking for a way back to a simpler time and way of doing things- a more self sufficient life. men and women are doing more compromising to meet in a middle ground closer to the "cabin in the woods".

If my guy ever made me live in the woods and hunted my food I would divorce him, I don't know what kinda women you are talking too, but that's the farthest thing from what I want. I will never move off a beach, and I will only eat food prepared bye myself, or cooked bye a chef. That was bought in a store, or a seafood market.

Men are trained to be the providers and are simpler than woman. They run everything outside of the house.
The reason why some women want the gadgets to handle everything because women have the responsibility of handling the house. You want your man pleased and sometimes the most optimal success depends on having the best of everything. Hope this helps.

Um . . . where is this coming from? Not ALL females want a home like that, and not ALL males want to do the hunter-gatherer thing. In fact, I don't know anybody who does. Stop generalizing already.
