Are diet pills safe for teens? I am 14 years old and really fat. What would happen if I took a diet pill even if it says not for use of people under 18 years old? I only eat 400 calories a day and exercise 6 hours a day, every day. Im not losing weight! HELP.

I work for a doctor and he does not prescribe diet pills for any age. If you are eating 400 cal and doing that much exercise you should go to doctor for a checkup on gland problem. You didn't say your height or your weight so don't know if you are really fat or you just think of yourself that way. I question this because so many young want to be stick thin and its not their body frame to let them be stick thin.
So, 1) Go to doctor for blood work first
2) Talk to him about a correct diet plan for you if you are really over weight
3) don't skip meals...eat in moderation healthy foods
Only eating 400 calories a day you have shut down your metabolism so its not going to burn off more now. You will end up being sick instead.
Good Luck, please post later to let us know how you do.

You obviously haven't tried or haven't tried correctly. No, diet pills aren't safe for anyone. I would recommend you talk to your parents about the South Beach Diet. It was put together by an actual doctor, not some guy in his grandma's basement. I believe it was put together by a cardiologist (Heart doctor) because he had patients who were going to him for heart problems and he realized a lot of their problems were just how they were eating. Even if you don't want to talk to your parents about it, you can just get the book and try to follow it as best as you can. If your parents ask just tell them you want to eat healthier. There's nothing wrong with that. Diet pills are full of chemicals. Do you really want to be ingesting chemicals daily? Harmful chemicals? A lot of them just give you bad diarrhea anyways which, yes may help you lose a little weight, but it also can severely dehydrate you which is very, very dangerous.
