he is Immature and I liked him better as just a friend except even when i tell him hes Immature he doesnt take me seriously. how should I get him to take me seriously and not think its just some joke?

You need to say, "This isn't working out for me. I don't think we should date anymore," with a straight face. If he doesn't take you seriously, say, "I'm sorry, but I really mean it. This isn't working for me. I want to break up." And repeat it over and over until he gets it.
You don't have to be mean, just be firm. Telling him that he's immature isn't really going to change the situation - he'll still be immature. Just talk about yourself - this isn't working for ME - there's no arguing with that.

Just tell him that you've had a lot of fun being with him but being a couple just isn't gonna work right now. That will get his attention and if you want to start talkin' immaturity at that point, then go for it - or else walk away.

No offense but immature people don't change and can't stay serious. Your wasting you time. Try not to use the "f bomb"(no not that one "friends"). Make the conversation as comfortable as possible.

In future, don't rush into a relationship. You take the chance of losing good friends by wanting more from them than they are ready to give.

Do you still want to be friends? Tell him you want to go back to just being friends and when he asks why, which he will, then you tell him he's too imature. He won't think you're joking anymore.

Why should he take you seriously if you are breaking up with him?
That makes no sense. "I am breaking up with you, and I want you to start taking me seriously".

be honest with him and tell him that you are not joking, tell him that you want to be friends only and you are going to date other men. sooner or later he will get the message. good luck.

you have to make sure he knows your serious, you could sit him down and look him in the eyes and tell him what you want to say.....hopefully that'll be enough....Good Luck!!! ( D
