Yes, I am a girl (people keep asking because of the name). I have shoulder length hair and side swept bangs. I don't have a large forehead but I have a heart shaped face (slightly pointed chin and nice checkbones). So, I was thinking faux bangs would emphasize the checkbones. I'm a black girl and I just wonder if it will good? My hair dresser thinks it's a good idea, but she just likes to cut. Is it hard to keep up bangs? Like the ends and stuff.

Bangs are easy to keep up. Just trim them a bit yourself every few weeks. If you don't like them once they are cut, just part them aside and there a number of other ways they can look cute besides hanging straight down. I have bangs that I keep very long and part on the side. It looks better on me.

I think bangs would do nicely just not too short that way you can keep them swept to the side and in case you don't like the look they will grow out faster. You can also wear a nice headband or pin them back (or even wear a nice headband and keep them swept to the side as well, that usually looks nice as well). I used to have bangs when I was younger and it did contribute to a little acne on my forehead, so I agree with someone else that had mentioned that, if you are acne- prone, it may not be a good thing for you to do.
Overall they aren't hard to keep up with but if you have shaky hands you might want your stylist to do it or someone with a steadier hand...overall not hard to do with a steady hand....I hope that helped you a bit. =)

Yes bangs are hard to keep up with for the first week but you can always pin your hair back and hair grows back rather fast so it's up to you! Go for it ! See if you like it!!! At least if you try this time you'll know for the next time you cut your hair right?

Hope that helps!!!! Good Luck!!!!

If your hairdresser thinks it will look good then it probably will. Not just because she likes to cut, cut, cut! I love cutting hair to! But i would never recommend a style that wouldn't look good just to do the cut! That's not our job and what we risk our names for! Bangs are not hard to keep up, if you end up not liking them you can style them differently and let them grow out or find another style. The ends are not hard to keep up at all and i wouldn't recommend cutting them yourself unless you know what you are doing and are licensed! I cut my hair only because i hate others touching my head and want it done right then! Go for it!

Bangs are sexy, cute, and easy to keep up for both guys and dolls. If your hair relaxes well and doesn't frizz bad in damp wet weather, then bangs are for you. I did check for more info to see if you are a guy or a girl as J (As you say) could be either. However , for bangs, either can wear them. Go for it and look even more sexy than you already are.

Bangs in my opinion are easy to keep up with. Yes, you may ned to get them trimmed periodically, but they're much easier to style. There are several websites you can go to that are free where you can download your picture and try on several different hairstyles. www.clairol.com is one of them. Goodluck with your new style...I think you'll look great!

By your description I think bangs would be real cute on you, but if you have any type of problem with and oily skin area especially the forehead, you might want to reconsider!!
