Yeah, It damages your hair and dries it out. I do the same thing and have started using Straightening shampoos and conditioners. These usually have ingredients in them to help protect your hair. I also deep condition once a week and I use a shine spray (especially on the ends) on my hair. This has helped my hair a great deal. Also use a good ceramic straightener that has adjustable heat settings. Set it on the lowest setting possible. Hope this helps.

Heat unless moist heat like a warm misting spray will REALLY DRY OUT your hair, and i've used dyes for over 40 yrs, and if you want the driest hair on eart dye it and then dry it. You need moisterizers and a really good conditioner if you want healthy colored hair. Also a daily vitiamin wouldn't hurt, plus plenty of water and eath fish at least three times a week, or if you're like me not big on fish, use a Omega-3 supplement!!

Heat and anything like blow drying and ironing your hair does dry your hair out, but if you use the correct products and shampoo and CONDITION your hair on a regular bases and use any other products for stressed hair you might need your hair will be fine. the best advice I have is check with your regular hair dresser and ask their advice!

It is very unhealthy for your hair after so many times of use.

It is essential to not use a blow dryer, but use a towel, or just let it dry naturally which will sometimes be a hassle.

So, just use a towel.
