Ask your volunteers to write the articles. They can write about things they do for your group, or how they got involved, or how much it's meant to them.

Circulate the topic through mail, giving all the details like language/ circulation of the newsletter etc. and also promise that you would send a copy to the writers (do not fail to keep your promise).
I think you will get many write-ups from many parts of the World.
Select and publish form among them for the first Newsletter and keep some reserved for the next. Writings from many parts of the World will make your Newsletter more interesting. And it is a myth that only professional writers can make your Newsletter attractive. Todays professionals were amateurs once upon a time.

I even have the appropriate place: Austin, Texas! Austin has the optimal form of non-income companies in keeping with capita of the different city in the country. We even have large 365 days-around climate, six universities, an wonderful music scene, a lot of exterior activities, farmer's markets, countless annual paintings and music fairs, and we are approximately 3 hours from the Gulf of Mexico. the cost of residing is rather much less costly, incredibly whilst in comparison with places like ny or California. a sparkling 3 br/2 bt homestead will run you around $one hundred fifty-200k on well-known. the individuals are friendly, there's a lot of variety and a lot of exciting-loving, laid lower back people. heavily, i've got been right here 8 years and that i admire this place! wish you may make it down for a bypass to a pair time!

The local Historic society will have interesting information for you.
Another way to get print is to follow a particular activity such as back yards or Square foot gardening activity and after each article invite readers to write an opinion and you will get a lot of free and interesting replies to print. Square foot gardening is a good subject because they are so common that everyone is aware of them but not well informed and because gardening is a favorite of everyone it will have wide reader appeal. Another way to get the interest is with sq foot gardening and bed raised onto saw horses it is suitable for elderly and an article about how an elderly grandmother raises vegetables for her grandchildren will generate a lot of replies to the editor and create a larger readership

hey.
i am a student journalist. as part of my degree my along with many other students on my course do some volunteer work for newspapers/ newsletters. Most often unpaid for the sole purpose of getting experience and getting our names out there.
Maybe you should check if there is a school/ college that offers a journalism course or an english course. they may be students willing to volunteer for your newsletter.

Is there a National Organization for your community group? IF there is, they usually have a stash of articles that you could reprint under their banner.

I don't know how rural your area is, but you can try:
• journalism classes at local colleges
• local creative writing groups
• post your needs on the local craigslist for help
• search for internet groups that may help.
