In no particular order I would say these countries if they are fighting conventional armies and know who their targets are.
1. USA for they have better trained army, superior technology, honor, courage, and duty and an army that is made up of volunteers who want to be there. When you have a professional army such as America has because in America joining the army is a profession (no draft).
2. UK for they have honor, discipline, and the technology to wage war successfully and still have the balls to rise to defend democracy.
3. Israel for most of the people serve int he army and do it with passion. Up to 10% of all who join the army stay in it as a career. They are dedicated and want to be there and have most fighting experience then the Europeans in the last 59 years. Furthermore, they are constantly fighting for their survival.
4. Russia though it is not as strong as it once was, but if you read the history they have never been conquered and always comes through. However, right now the moral is extremely low.
5. China they are rising fast both in technology and experience. They will be the next super power along side with the Americans.
In the war against terror I would say
1. Russia because when fighting terror they actually fight terror. They kill all the Muslim terrorists, those who support them, and cut of their livelihood, roads, villages, an etc for society. If they kill Russians in the cities then they kill the terrorists in broad light in their cities.
1. Tied with Russians are Israelis for they have been fighting terror since the first day of the creation of the modern state of Israel. Hitting terrorists targets despite their locations in order to win the war of terror. If the terrorists attack the cities then their cities are fair targets for their mayors and city council supports them.
2. UK for the long time they have thought the IRA and have the experience to fight terror where it originates from.
3. India they have recently had their successes in their war against Muslims terrorists in Kashmir and elsewhere.
4. Thailand for they finally beginning to organize their quadrant to fight the terrorist groups and beginning to have few successes.
5. Philippines they too have been fighting Muslim terrorists and seem to have few victories, but mostly losses, However, they are getting the training that they need to fight the terror groups.

a million. Israel 2. us of a three. united kingdom 4. Switzerland 5. Russia Israel retains between the most rather educated armies contained in the international and is able to defeating any of its associates in a common war. the united states of a is clearly a pacesetter and the merely united states of america able to sending its forces to any area round the international. preparation of the British military contains rather really professional instruments which study with the acceptable US instruments. Switzerland is a state it truly is often neglected with assistance from maximum mavens, yet they preserve a defense force able to self-protection hostile to practically any a threat adversary. The Russian military is huge yet spotty. particular instruments are astonishing with others being mediocre at acceptable. notwithstanding, its rigidity projection applications are recuperating and its new strategic orientation would pose an issue to different states in coming years.

Britain
everyone else can go home because these 2 are on a different level.
Britain has better technology than all bar the US and even though it has less than some nations it is better equiped to use them and has a hell of alot more money to buy more. Have you seen our new aircraft carriers being built? Looking hi tech
100 excellent weapons are better than 1000 poor weapons. Thats why Britain is better than China, Russia, India. Isreal could maybe join the top 2

China,
USA,
Russia,
Germany,
If you are talking numbers of conventional forces as in troop numbers. If you want to talk about technology, you would have to include the UK.
Everyone else lags way behind these 4
