Worms and fleas can make them anaemic, the pink mucous membrane in their eyelids and mouth goes paler.
Iron is best given as cooked liver added in small amounts to her normal ration. Give a 1/8lb a day for a month. It makes a good baked treat as well, cut into thin slices and bake dry in a slow oven.
Dont ever give iron tablets; they are toxic to dogs.

I presume you have checked her gums and that they are very pale?
How do you know her iron levels are low? Have you had a blood test done?
It is no good messing about with vitamins and supplements if your dog already has a well balanced diet.
You need a proper diagnosis to find out whether your dog is anaemic and, if she is, there must be an underlying cause that is making her anaemic.
This is the reason why some of the answers are telling you to take her to the Vet.

If you think your dog is anaemic you should take her to the vet. They will check to make sure there is no underlying problem causing the anaemia. Also try giving her some liver which is high in iron.

i extremely do not comprehend the answer and that i starred for my contacts that would, yet i'd pick to ask LVT Chick how lengthy have you ever been and LVT. And did you comprehend salmonella might want to be exceeded from one human being to a unique via undesirable hygiene, through no longer authentic washing fingers after utilising the lavatory or after replacing a diaper. and also you do comprehend that vets were comprehend to no longer only misdiagnose and over fee, yet also inspire and recommend unnecessary surgical treatment because lets face it, they're a organisation too. that is why they discourage raw feed because maximum of them pick you to purchase the canines nutrition they promote out of their place of work. So who's to assert and that i'm no longer making accusations right here, yet who's to assert the vet you artwork for isn't truly one of them! And each and every thing "Dalmatian Appreciation" pronounced are all valid factors.

If your ***** is anaemic, there is an underlying reason for this. Don't try & treat the symptons, take her to a vet to find out the cause. It could be any number of things from fleas to a haemorrhage.

I would let the vet decide what's wrong with her. Might not be anything wrong. I'd spend the money for the vet before I would giving her something that might make her sicker. Hope she feels better!!

take her to the vet, but in the mean time u could try this, i know its a different species, but my female cat was vomiting, and lethargic, so i gave her plain white rice and drained fried minced meat, and i had some kitten formula in powder form, so i mixed some up and gave it to her, she was fine the next morning, but bring ur pup to the vet anyways, just to be sure
