your opinion is refreshing Thanx
Now I could go on a while about this because it was the focus of much research i did while completing my Masters. The media, drug companies, the medical field, insurance companies and weight loss companies all feed us misinformation (some actually lethal) about wieght and the perceived issues connected to it. People die daily from Anorexia and Bulemia, other take poison into their systems to lose a few pounds, and some people mutilate their bodies with liposuction and gastric bypass surgery.
It is very sad. People fixate on a few extra pounds and feel they are undesirable. Fairytales and the perfect match feed the delusion. 3-5 year old put on diets.
Oh the list goes on. It is hard to rise above it because family and friends encourage/urge/demand a certain body size. Individual choice, preference and genetic tendencies are discounted.
SO again, thank you!!!!!!!!!

I've been petite and curvey my whole life, I'm never going to be stick thin and that's ok with me. I don't see the appeal of being built like a twelve year old boy and in order to actually look like the profile of the 'perfect body' media bombards women with I'd have to starve myself and be miserable. No thanks. I'd rather be curvey, have some muscle and be healthy...not splitting a grape with six other wraiths brainwashed into this unattainable picture of what beauty is supposed to be

Well I take medications that make me gain weight. I am 5' 5" and over 200 lbs for me lighter is better is not psychobable, my cholesterol is too high and I have trouble walking distances. My doctor and I want me down to at least 150lbs, and I think I will be happy with that - not a stick, but not a pig

Nope...I don't buy into that crap at all. I'm rather short - 5'2" and I have an athletic build. If I were to weigh what the BMI chart says I should, I'd look like a crack head.
I love my muscle, my curves and my "black girl booty"! ;-)

I don't buy it, but when posters like the one above, make comments like 'a girl can never be too thin', what do you expect? Blame idiots like him.
Take care : )
