It could be signs of poor circulation as well. To check your thyroid your doctor will do a simple blood test. You are right though, those are signs of an under active tyroid or Hoshimoto's disease as it is known as. I have been diagnosed with so I think you do need to see your doctor and either rule it in or rule it out. You have no power over it til you know.

Depression is a sign of hypothyroidism. Your other symptoms sound like it as well. To find out get a morning TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test. TSH should be under 2.0.

Most who have a throid problem and suffer from depression do better on a thyroid med containing both T4 and T3.

Get a thyroid blood test to see if hypoactive thyroid...bluish fingernails could be cold from a hypoactive thyroid maybe... or maybe Raynaud's syndrome...or maybe a lung disorder where you are not getting enough oxygen in your lungs to the hands (circulation)...or poor circulation ...or anemic...or heart disorder leading to poor circulation...or just need gloves in winter and cold environment..

I don't know about the depression..it is possible since your metabolism would be low with low thyroid, that you could be depressed? or maybe because it is winter (seasonal affected disorder SAD) or some other reason..

check with your doctor...you can google hypoactive thyroid or hypothyroidism and see what you get.

I have BOTH problems. You sound like you are Anemic. get some blood work done if you are concerned, and see your doctor about this. Your health is more important than to take advise in YA on this. Only a doctor will help you and tell you what the problem is.
