I am not sure who wrote this one.

There we are one

When I go to the place in me that is Love
And you go into that place in you that is Love
There we are ONE.

Now we are one, Kate Fisher

When thoughts take wing a wedding ring encircles all our dreams
And love abounds above, around,
enriching all our schemes
We plan together all our life
to make our dreams come true
When love is there a smile, a prayer, a hug, a kiss will do
And then together hand in hand
we go with love we've won
And you will see
the you and me
that once were two -- are one

A Happy Couple.

A happy couple standing hand in hand
looking ahead to a promised land.

(Bride’s and Groom’s Names),
today as you promise to have and to hold,
and you seal those vows with small bands of gold.
As you journey the path of love together,
so stormy as well as sunny weather.
Remember there'll be some hills to climb,
but you will be guided from time to time.
So if ever you feel you've lost your way,
just look to each other, and think of this day

Apache Wedding Prayer
Now you will feel no rain, For each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, For each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no more loneliness, For each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two bodies, But there is only one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place To enter into the days of your togetherness And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

Today I Married My Best Friend by Rachel Elizabeth Cooper (b.1977)

Today I married my best friend,
Our bond complete, it hath no end,
We share one soul, we share one heart,
A perfect time - a perfect start.

With these rings we share together,
Love so close to last forever,
This special day - two special hearts,
Let nothing keep this love apart.

Good Luck!!

A Wedding Is the Entrance to a Marriage

A wedding is the entrance to a marriage:
One drives through, and suddenly one's there!
Stepping from a fairy tale carriage
Into quite ordinary air.
Life is now a dance, though beautiful,
Requiring intense coordination;
Each self becomes, in ways inscrutable,
More fully what it is in combination.
And we who love you wait, of course, outside
As you become through love that mystery:
One flesh made whole of separate groom and bride;
Two selves, one life; two notes, one harmony.
When you are one, we then may cherish two:
Loving not just one, but both of you.

You should be able to find a few on the net. I know its not the best answer, but poems are very personal, only you, family and friends know how your relationship has grown between you and your partner.

Other then the internet, look in libraries or buy a book. Best of all write one yourself using you and your partners name in it

When I got married my parents had my little cousins hand this poem out to everyone walking into the church. It was rolled up with a bow tied around it.

When our daughter was a little girl
We often used to say
How proud and happy we would be
On this,her Wedding Day.
Our daughter is not lost to us,
In fact,we've gained a son;
We're happy you can share our joy
And see them joined as One
So may we welcome all of you
And may this whloe day be
A happy and joyous one
For friends and family.

Go to your local library, bookstore or just search for love poems. There are so many out there, from Shakespeare to Dickenson...I'm assuming you want a shorter one to put in an invite, so stay away from Shakespeare and Browning (who did sonnets).

When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself, and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man's art, and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts my self almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.

I really like this one. Shakespeare's sonnet 29

I love him/her so
and you are my hero
so in memory of our love
you are invited to share

We love you all too
and we want you there
so help us to celebrate
our most special time of the year

It is your duty to prove that we are loved while we love each other
It is our share and we want you there
But most of all we want to have friends and family near to us as we grow as a bigger family

I guess you mean 'poem'.
"my mum bought me toy soldiers
to play with while I'm in bed
I got bored with my sergeants and corporals
So I played with my privates instead"
