if you colored your hair in the last week then you can remove that haircolor with a mixture of baking soda and water(just enough to make a paste) and apply it all through your hair and leave it on for twenty minutes and then wash it out and it should strip out the hair color and you'll get your original hair color back. Then you can dye in 2-4 weeks at the least. (you don't want to do too much damage to your hair all at once)

If it isn't a color you can live with go to a salon and get it stripped. One time I dyed my hair and it came out ten shades of red. I went to my stylist and she put a stripping shampoo in my hair and I sat under a dryer for about thirty minutes. After that she said not to redye it for a couple of days, and to get a conditioning treatment to put the mouisture back in from the stripping.
If it is a color you can live with wait for a few weeks before you redye it. Some dye chemicals react really bad with each other and can cause very bad results. (Another thing I learned from my stylist at that time.)

I don't know how you feel about going to a hair stylist, but they can strip the wrong color out and redo you're color. Not unless your're hair is in really bad shape, you should'nt have to wait to have this done.

You should wait a couple of weeks, but if it is really bad do it again. We all have been there. I would just shampoo it several times in a row to try and remove as much dye as possible. Then when all is said and done use a good conditioning treatment.

I've just asked the same question to my hairdresser and she said it's better to wait for at least 10 days.

Go to a professional hair stylist, to insure you do not damage your hair from over processing.
