how can i move on from the past?

Question

i cant move on from one past that i really want to leave,well in the past.i had this online thing with this guy(before i got together with taylor).he said his name was mythyus cromarty.then said his real name was mike hanns.and he is/was from scotland.he never wanted to meet,but,odd as it sounds i loved him with my whole heart.and never(when i had friends)had time for my friends.i just sat by the computer waiting for him.
i dont know what i did wrong,but he never came on for a few days,i was worried.so i asked a few of his friends where he was,then the next day he went off on one and told me never to contact him.it happend years ago(less then 5 years ago).i still think about him,even though tay was my soulmate.i cant stop thinking about mythyus/mike.its driving me nuts.maybe thats why part of me is insane now. :(
how can i move on?is there anyway to?he left me with so many questions.why did he get mad at me?i loved him even though we never met and he never wanted to.
help me!please.

he also said he worked in a video store and that he sometimes talked to me on msn from there.but can you use the internet while at work,in a video store?
its all sketchy most of it.but when i remember,sometimes i think he told me lies.
i mean why date anyone online and say you loved them if you never intend to actually meet up.and he said he killed his dad when he was 2 years old.and his brother,he had a brother named urlik.i think i spoke to him once,they both said this guy was stalking mythyus.and then he broke into his house,broke urliks leg with a baseball bat.but somehow he ended up dead.
somethings just dont add up.

well to be honest shreya,taylor was.but if someone just blew up on you,would you want answers too?i just want closure on THAT.i do try to forget about mythyus,but when i least expect i think of him or a song comes on the radio that he told me about.i WANT to forget about THAT lying scumbag i really do.maybe i could partway move on if i did.god knows i have tried so hard.

taylor and mythyus were the only 2 guys i ever loved.who i truly gave my heart to.
mythyus..i dont know why since we never met and he had made it clear he never wanted to either,so i wasted months of my life on him.and taylor,he was everything,smart,sexy,funny etc.
i knew he was the one.
i was in love with mythyus yes.it is possible to be in love with 2 people(though not at the same time).i know i am only 21.so i will die alone until i meet with taylor again.i was only about 15 or so when i 'met' mythyus.
all of it is true,just some parts of the story i have forgotten.maybe its best that way.

thank you everyone.i think or know i just needed to vent out my anger about mythyus.only taylor knew.i had never told anyone how much it was destroying me.not my (old)friends and not my shrinks.this is the first time i have talked about mythyus without it being in my head.its helped alot.
mythyus made it his job to get rid of me i never did it.so even if i never wanted to leave him there is no form of contact.and may i add(again?)all this happend a few years back.but it still plays in my mind.

It's funny how you say that Taylor is your soulmate, but you still can't forget Mike.
I'd say, if you think Taylor is your soulmate, you would have forgotten Mike by now. It's been quite a long time since Mike left you.
See, all I can say is that you shouldn't even wonder of questions like "Why he left you even though you loved him with your whole heart?". He didn't care for you. He left you even after you did so much for him. He doesn't deserve you girl, and by you remembering him even after what he did to you, you are giving him too much of importance. You are supposed to forget such a human being. He should not even exist for you. You should consider that as a bad dream. It's not as easy as said, I know, but you have to do so.
There are a few ways to do so. If you have any of his e-mails or messages saved, first thing to do is delete it!!! It will probably be hard, but just click that delete button! By deleting him from you inbox, you're going to be deleting part of him from your heart. Next, any music he listens to, or something in specific he likes, avoid that. In short, destroy any memories of him. If he is still on your chatting list, do not forget to delete him from there, too.
Also, I suggest you to get closer to your so-called soulmate Taylor. He may be able to give you so much of love that will definitely help you forget that useless guy Mike.
I wish you all the best in forgetting Mike and getting your life with Taylor very well. It's hard, not impossible, and remember, when there's a will, there's a way!!!

generally you can not trust the people you 'meet' on-line
anyone can sit there and tell you that they are one thing and really be another.

it's nice, and play full to write to people on-line, but to 'get involved' with them is just foolishness.

you need to forget about everything that he said to you because 99% of it was probably a lie.
and find a new friend, or better yet a human friend. that way you know what you are getting.

I know it hurts and people on here can be insulting ( hope i didn't insult you) but it's just something that happens. and it teaches you a lesson. Don't let it happen again.
you are better off finding this out now.

Sweetie, you need to get it together! This is a person that you can only dream about. If Taylor is your soulmate then be with Taylor! You know this thing with your online friend is never going to go anywhere. It's just a matter of you coming back to reality.

You DO need to move on and forget him. SOunds like he is bad news being you said he killed before and all. Sounds like you have a wonderful guy that you are now seeing. Concentrate on that. The past is the past. My motto is and I believe in it deeply. "Everything happens for a reason." He said good bye and you have a new man in your life. There is a reason for it. You might not know what it is now and may never know.
