I will repeat some great advice that was given earlier and add just a little to it.

As long as you can both respect each others faith and not try to change the other.. a great part of your battle is done. The other biggie you should seriously discuss is the raising of children. My husband and I are different religions and I assumed I would raise my children in my faith.. although that is how it turned out in the end, it would have made for much easier times in my marraige had I discussed this PRIOR to getting married and having children.

If you respect each others differing views and not try to convert each other on a daily basis - yes.

Find the similarities in what you believe, you have more i common than an atheist and a Methodist and I have seen a marriage between two such people work. They agreed faith was an important part of her life and that it was a personal decision to believe and go to church.

As long as a born-again Christian stays faithful to Christ, there is hope for the Catholic. The Christian sanctifies the marriage.

My laptop locked up on me while i attempted to verify the article on your hyperlink. once you're taking the themes of abortion and definition of marriage out of the debates, further and extra Christians are understanding that the GOP does not persist with Christian ideas on particular themes, surprisingly on poverty and the ideas chanced on interior the Sermon on teh Mount or James financial disaster 3. I desire I had the citation for this, yet considering that 1998, the quantity of Christians that are moving to the DNC from the GOP is doubling each election. The GOP is dropping out simply by fact they don't care to appreciate the purposes of the least of those. regrettably, nevertheless, i've got self assurance that the two Obama and Clinton will say what they might desire to assert to get the votes. So, that's a marriage of convenience.

I hope you are happy together. Yes there is a future for such couples, but do expect the people around you to frown first, and smile later.

You both believe in God.
Problem 1 solved.
Do either of you want to fight about how God works?
Based on experience, Catholics are more laid back and forgiving, while born agains are more to the point and strict in their religious interpretations.
I vote no, because I sense that you are born again and want complete control.
Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Um... Catholics ARE Christians, some of the first... The Great Schism? But I guess you mean your partner is more fundie than you? Evangelical? I think as long as you aren't gonna argue about religion, it's fine.
