The Bible is not the literal word of God. It is a collection of oral sayings by primitive tribal pastoralists that were passed down over thousands of years and finally written down and compiled in a canonical form. They did not write in English and the literary forms used by Shakespeare had not yet developed, so obviously there is going to be a huge difference between the two.

Don't think God and the prophets actually wrote the bible...but yes, Shakespeare is definitely better. Just think how much longer the human race had to evolve before he was born!!

Lousy writers can be identified by their tone and intent in the text. If they are writing to depress, discourage or discredit anyone or thing that is good in the world....that should tell you right away!

Apparently so. You'd think an omniscient and omnipotent "god" creature could inpire a better read than the bible.

I hated Shakespear. Maybe if they could read the Bible in school then we could see which one the teachers choose. I think it would still be Shakespear though, the Teachers union is against everything that is right.

No and I am a full believer in God
Shakespear was a Christian and believed in God and was baptised in the faith and it would be a insult to say his works were better than God's inspired prophets and writers given great dreams and visions to help mankind...How dare you...Ask God to forgive you no man is greater than God the creator of us all...

the Bible, the Word of the Living God, was not created by God for pleasurable reading.
it was created by God for instruction, inspiration, for guidance and as a historical record for the Truth.
