Try someting new each week, something you have never tired or afraid to do.It will give you a new perspective to life. Some people take this to a extreme. They call themselves the dicemen (based on the book of the same nature), they have a dice choose 6 things ( 3 normal everyday tasks ie. visit a friend and 3 out of the norm like rock climbing).Roll the dice and that is your task for that day.

you are actually in a pretty good state because you are feeling what is real. we are all actually dead where it really counts - in your spirit. ...until you find LIFE (jesus). when you -especially you-experience what Jesus has to offer, you will know the difference. I happened upon a website that you can listen to any of the speeches in the archives (real/mp3) for free and they are all great. and i do mean GREAT. if you're interested, check out awmi.net. I have been where it seems maybe you are, and i know the difference now...I feel alive-and joyful, free, and full of hope. (oh, and by the way, the speaker Andrew Wommack sounds like a real hick but if you give him a chance, you'll love him- and more importantly, you'll find life that means something)

what's the point of numbing out to the point of not feeling, not to mention feeling alive?

Share your pain with someone safe. You can't bury something until you know what it is you're burying.

You will still feel lost for awhile, even when you share, but, time would've stopped for you if you remain numb. Only people either stay in denial or else they rush through their issues. Aliveness will come in time, you cannot will it.

Sometimes a person is presented with a difficult situation that helps them to define who they are. Without conflict, a person may never grow or build a good character. Talk to a responsible person, write down your feelings or see a doctor. Good luck.
