You can keep Notepad / Wordpad / or any word processor running in the background and minimized to the bottom task bar. You can drag items to it or cut and paste.
When done, open the 'word program' and edit to suit, then save or print.
You already have such programs on your computer. (free!)

You can use notepad or wordpad. Both come free with windows.
Wordpad you can insert pics.
