why do i see a dark spot at times?

i see a dark spot that comes to one of my eyes field of vision and later on disappears.

Likely nothing to worry about... I have a spot like this, opticians call it a 'floater'. Its just a clump of cells which floats around in the fluid in your eye, and you only see it sometimes because it floats into the line of vision and then out again. Optician told me this was only a problem if you see a lot of these floaters suddenly.

might be the early stages of glaucoma, it might be nothing. go to your optomotrist
