Friday night my girlfriend and I had sex, the condom broke, I think I pulled out in time, and the condom did have a spermicide on it but you never know. She on loestrin 24, it is the first form of birth control she has used other than condoms, She has been taking it faithfully for 19 days and she started on the first day of her period. My dr and the websight both tell me that if she begins on the first day of her cycle then we are protected immediately. What do you guys think the chances are of us becoming pregnant? (the pill has NOT caused her any vomiting or diarrhea.)

The chances of her becoming pregnant are incredibly small... I wouldn't worry... Since she's been taking the pill for 19 days now, she should be protected (I've heard that it only takes a week of active pills for a girl to be protected). As long as she's following the directions for her pill and taking it on time, I think you two should be fine.

I think it is great that you are taking every precaution.

It is very unlikely that she is pregnant. If you are worried, wait till a week after her period finishes, then do a pregnancy test.

The pill takes roughly 14 days to kick in, so I dare say she was covered. Keep using condoms though. 2 of my sisters children were concieved on contraception - one on the pill and the other on the 3 month injection. I also conceived on the 3 month injection.

Good luck.

Well if taken like the dr. said then you should be safe but be carefull next time. And also did you know birth control pills are 99.9% effective. Well for sure I know you aren't pregnant but your gf might or might not depends if there is enough birth control in the system.

If all the signs show that she may not be pregnant, then she may not be. Even if she was, you wouldn't know until you start to see signs of a pregnancy. Some of those signs are; 1. A missed period cycle. 2. Morning sickness.

I don't think she will become pregnant, so quit fretting my brother.

If she took the pill on the right time, rest assured she won't get pregnant. You wont be needing the condom if she is already under pills,.
