Not for myself but a genuine querie as i have concerns about a patient i am working with that they may have been 'purchased' as a wife.

lol.. I love reading some posts.
Realistically, in the US, you won't find "mail order brides". US immigration is much to hard to get a visa from, unless you spend a lot of time and money flying back and forth to Russia. Ultimately you have to prove you have a "real" relationship to get a visa.
And I don't care what anyone brags about "knowing someone" they can get visa's from... the ONLY people who can issue them are the officers at the embassy in Moscow.
And Russian women are not desperate to get out of their country. That is a fallacy egotistical Americans use to try to justify how much better American is than Russia.
The worst case is she is a woman who decided to learn to love a man she did not really love, simply because he could provide well for her and give her a better life.
I'd guess your "concerns" are more likely a lack of understanding of the cultural differences.

The chances are if the man is a lot older than the Russian lady she is a Russian Bride, and she has been brought, because women from Russia will do anything to get out of their country, and that includes marrying wrinkly old men who are 10,15 even 20 years old, these women will take anything to get out, once they have been in their adopted country for a few years they will soon divorce the dirty old man. I know one case where this British man married a Russian woman 18 years younger than himself, they are now divorced after a few short married years, and she is now able to work in Britain and thanks to him she has her own flat too. He has now learnt not to be a dirty old man and his present girl friend is the same age as he is.
Not sure how much the Russian Brides are but I know that they can't work in their adopted country for a few years, so men that marry them must have quite a lot of money.

Done with the right intentions, in american dollars, I went into it for around 1000 and got out. If I continued I expected to drop 5000 and would have cared less of cost, but I found someone in another country, and am into it for alot more than that. If money has more meaning than love, mabey you should look closer to home. Try elanorsmodles if you are serious.

You are best off phoning the Immigration Dept / Home Office. The whole world of people trafficking is very seedy. Put it this way, the mafia guys that got her into your country will not use Yahoo! Answers to ask why YOU are asking awkward questions.

It matters whose delivering her ,the rates vary from UPS and the Royal mail she may go missing in transit,but without doubt she will definitely go missing when she gets her papers to stay in what ever country she ends up in

there are diffrent prices for diffrent women if ya want one with teeth and hair its cost alot , but i hear they are running a special on chernoble women ,the only problem is they have no hair and glow in the dark, but shop around its like anything else ya get what ya pay for
