because it is being blocked by a firewall. Is there a way I can turn off firewall??? Or do I have to delete the yahoo tool bar??

Don't disable or remove Nortons, and don't disable your firewall.If you do you are going to open your computer up to a whole host of trojans and viruses.
Limewire is not working because it's being blocked by the firewall, yes.
You have to configure Nortons or windows Firewall to allow Limewire access to the internet. This is explained at Limewire support site.

If the Nortons toolbar bothers you goto my computer Click VIEW > TOOLBARS And UNCHECK Nortons. the same goes for Internet explorer.

open the toolbar or look for any other way to access Norton or any other Firewall if u installed.
Then visit the program control options. there would be Limewire listed and then select it and click on allow. this would allow ur copy of limewire to have an aceses to internet

Look in your toolbar for a disable button for your norton.OR...right click on the norton icon at bottom right of your screen and click on disable....You can also go into add/remove proigrams in control panel and delete norton....or reinstall over top of limewire.....best to just disable Norton though....

I merely found the Yahoo Anti secret agent. click on equipment and the drop down menu will spay SBC Yahoo amenities, and then AntiSpy is an option and it ran for me. yet i'm sorry I as a lot as date my device Bar. i do not favor norton both.

find the nortons icon in the system tray right click on it a nd say disable then use limewire. enable it when you are done.
