let water boil then add sugar and lemon.

What do you want to use homemade wax for?

You can buy wax by the pound in blocks in beauty supply stores.

Craft stores have wax and beeswax for candlemaking.

If you want wax for candlemaking, you need to buy beeswax or paraffin wax for that purpose.

If you want wax for cosmetic use, you will probably want to buy food grade paraffin wax.
