I personally use about 4 kilowatt hours of electric energy per day, but I am not an average household....

According to the link below, the average in 2001 was around 30 kWh per day.

= 29.17 kWh/day

The amount used can vary greatly based on location, and what the electricity is used for. Very hot climates will use more electricity for air conditioning, some parts of the country use electricity for heating and for heating hot water.

If you factor in the amount of electricity used for making and storing the products you purchase the number goes up, maybe a lot!

Actually its Kilowatt-hours, or megajoules, as energy used. Kilowatt is a power rating not an energy use term.
The number of kilowatt-hours vary greatly across the country.
Your local provider could give you those numbers for their distribution region.

the average kwh is 30 it all depends on all your appliances and how much you use them,

One 100-watt light bulb on for an hour, is 0.1 kWh (100/1000)
One 100-watt light bulb on for ten hours is 1 kWh (1 bulbs x 100W x 10h= 1000Wh = 1 kWh)
Ten 100-watt light bulbs on for an hour, is 1 kWh (10 bulbs x 100W x 1h= 1000Wh = 1 kWh)
Ten 50-watt light bulbs on for an hour, is 0.5 kWh
Ten 100-watt light bulbs on for 1/2 an hour, is 0.5 kWh
Running a 3500-watt air conditioner for an hour is 3.5 kWh.

ex:Assume your window AC uses 1440 watts. How much does it cost to run it continuously for a month? How much per year? Assume 10¢/kWh.

ans:1440 watts x 24 hours/day x 30.5 days/monh = 1,054,080 Total Watt-hours
1,054,080 Wh / 1000 Wh = 1,054 kWh
1,054 kWh x 10¢/kWh = $105/mo.; $1265/yr.

On you bill you should find your average consumption for the year.
just divide it by 365.

South Carolina 25000 million kw/h only for residential houses for 4,147,152 inhabitants means 6000 kw/h for each person a year or 16.5 kw/h a day.

16.5 is a very huge amount of consumption compared to other countries.
