After watching this interview on FOX NEWS, which I will admit was highly religious bias, but nonetheless had this Atheist guy has children and very young adults filmed denouncing religion. And he goes further saying, which is actually something similar to what Richard Dawkin's said, that the parents are indoctrinating their children and it is abusive.

Are they serious lol? This is asking that parents shouldn't be parents and lead their children in ways and manners that they think is beneficial for their growth and development, which is their right AND duty if it is within the natural laws. What should we let the government become the parents and raise up children, take the power out of the parents and give it to the state? Many religious people would not want their children to go to public school since it teaches things they don't agree with and indoctrinates them into a secular prospective, but they can't without legal trouble and this is unconstitutional. Im not of a religion btw

Why put down parents for being parents. Like any parent they raise their children into whatever belief they have, should we let are children not have foundations that we see necessary for them and let the cultural prospective at the time decide what they are going to belief, our society? Now speaking against any type of teaching that doesn’t value and protect the sanctity of life is bad.

lol not old enough to make a decision when you said you didn't yourself? Well it appears that some of what you were feeling then was a by product of others in your school. Being a parent is tough.

I am told some woman is trying to get a law passed making it illegal spank your own child.

Military families tend to put their children into military schools. Religious families tend to put their children into religious schools or similar extra curricular activities. Children of celebritities tend to end up in show biz. Children of industrialistists and Fortune 500 execs tend to end up in business or law.

When I was seven years old I had my first communion and people started calling me a Catholic Child. As if, at seven, I was mature enough to make that decision. Yet when, at twelve, I told my parents that I didn't believe in gods, they told me I wasn't old enough to make a decision like that.

In what way is forcing your concept of religion on your child through brainwashing (and likely shame and guilt) not emotional abuse?

Anyone teaching a child that supernatural things like god are real is harming that child. All that Atheists are saying is not to teach children your religion let them decide for themselves when they are able to think about religion on their own. It is easy to teach good behavior, ethics and morals without bringing religion into it. If religion is such a good thing why do you find it necessary to bring someone into it before they are able to think for themselves.

It is abuse-they aren't producing broad minded people with well rounded personalities with their indoctrination but people who are going to grow up mindlessly clinging to meaningless theological dogma for whom intolerance is an integral part of their life. They're life is wasted before it's begun.
