I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.
It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.
It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."
It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.
This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.
Love and blessings

Praise be to Allah
such a question may lead the one to know and descover the secrets of the universe and this is a good thing as it takes u to the straight path on which any clever one should be...
Your Question is best answered in the Qur'aan when u know that Allah says:
“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)” [al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]
i.e., to believe in His Oneness and to devote their worship to Him alone, to the exclusion of all others. One of the conditions of worship being correct is belief in His Messenger [Muhammad] (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and following his example, for he is the example to be followed,
Life my friend is no more than a temporary stage or as a room that has 2 doors, You were out (i.e still not born), opened the first door (i.e became alive) and entered this room. such a room is full of good and bad things. when u were in this room u knew that sooner or later u will leave it so take what's good and leave what's bad. then one day u left this room and accoding to what u have taken ur next life would be.
So my friend I advise u to be on the straight bath that leads u to the paradise and all Im asking u is to read about islam and believe this is not an easy thing, ur next life depends on this life so sieze ur moment and search for the truth. and this site may help you. http://www.islam-qa.com

Experience teaches us if we don't work; we don't eat. So work is a given. Trouble is always somewhere. Sometimes near and some times far off. So work, trouble, rest, play are all part of the daily menu. Kind of resembles a training, doesn't it? Question is, trained for what? The next life? Kind of portends that, doesn't it?

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

Life has no meaning unless you believe you were created for a purpose, and to do that you must believe there is a divine creator.

In the name of ALLAH the most beneficient the most merciful
Every human who was brought into this world since the
creation of the universe was born in a pure state of his/ her
natural being and for a purpose.Allah the only one God tells us
in the holy Quran in chapter Dariyaath-verse-56 which
translates as '' and i did not create the jinn and mankind, except
to worship me''.This sentence tells us in a nutshell the purpose
of our creation and the meaning of life given to us by God
almighty. This life is not about wordly and materialistic accomp-
lishments where one is given birth to,grows up. gets an education, pursues a career, gets married, lives a good or bad life
and finally dies and thats the end of the story. The life of this
world is a test for every human being. His main aim is to search
for the truth, where he finds and acknowledges his creator and
submits himself to his will and worships his lord in a way that
pleases him follows his commands by obeying him and lives a
peaceful coexistance in peace with himself, his neighbours,
and with society. In the process one also enjoys the good things
that are available in society like education, comfort, marriage.
careers etc.True and meaningful ways of life can be found in
the original scriptures of most religions books like the
Vedas , the Bible and the final book of revelation to mankind the
holy Quran where man has been exhorted to worship the one
true God without taking any other gods besides him without
forming any images of him to believe in his power over the
entire creation and that to him we shall all return to be judged
according to our deeds.Once a person submits himself totally
to his lord whose name is ALLAH[ glory be to him] and follow
his final messenger, the comforter, the kalki avtaar.who is non
other than prophet Mohammad [ peace and blessings be upon
him] he will inshaAllah find the true meaning of life.
