I believe in God. I want to be clear on that. But I get tired of things that go on in church and a lot things I hear ministers on TV say. Is there anyone else that is searching for what God REALLY wants from us and for us?

You're right acid_zebra. I'm looking for other Christinas who feel the way I do to agree with me. But feel free to disagree with me. You won't shake me.

That issue has been around for a long time. I remember back 50 years ago when the same things were being said. I went through the same dilema that you are talking about until I decided as Jesus said that His Word was truth and decided to accept what the Bible says as the right way and not to look at human behavior as a test of the truth. Just believe in Jesus Christ, and seek for a good relationship with Him, and let the other things go on as they may until Christ returns. Remembe that Jesus taught that before His return there would be a great falling away from the faith, and I believe that is what you are seeing today.

Do You have a Bible?

If not: GET ONE!

If You Have One: READ IT!

If You read it: FOLLOW THE WORD OF GOD WITHIN IT!

You don't need a minister
you don't need a priest

What do you think a Bible is for?

You were created to worship & glorify GOD.

You've got a very limited time to get that done if you want Gods Promise of Ever lasting Life in Heaven.

Does it say anything in the Bible about having fun or buying nice cars etc.

Did Jesus have anything like that? Jesus Prayed! He spread the Word.

Jesus is the Key to Salvation because Jesus has indicated what GOD wants from yuo and how you should live your life.

And as insurance for you he sacrificed his life & blood to erase original sin from you so that you could enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus has already done all the hard work. Now just follow his teachings. REAL SIMPLE

Now.....There You have it!

maximum Christians (and persons) are not fascinated in the "fact"...they simply prefer to be the superb option. and a lot of cutting-edge scientists provide God credit for many of their discoveries...Albert Einstein and Issac Newton just to call some. yet like maximum theories and suggestions...If people discover something that would not extra healthful into the "Grand Scheme" (scientific OR non secular), then as a replace of admitting that "they don't be attentive to", or beginning over, they simply tack on some modification that would not make any experience. and a few scientific concepts do no longer matter regardless of if or no longer they're real or no longer in the enormous photograph...regardless of if the Earth revolves around the solar or no longer has little to do with Heaven and Hell. however the "church's" carry on the international might slip if persons found out that all of us got here from no longer something and might return to no longer something...Then there may be NO reason to act your self or to disclaim your self something you needed...or maybe shop your notice or appreciate different's thoughts. yet as quickly as lower back, the "Church's" stand against evolution has little or no to do with saving souls...it relatively is extra approximately being the superb option...God by no potential referred to as absolutely everyone to preserve his notice...this is why any questioning man or woman might keep away from church all mutually...yet when I have been the devil, this is strictly the way i might like.

Yes Rori.

The world is full of seekers who have decided that the judgmental nonsense that is being passed off as religion can't possibly be the truth.

Welcome to the club. I did the same thing that you are doing.

I was raised catholic. In the third grade when they told me that all of the hypocrites I went to church with were going to heaven and all the good people who did not believe in my version of the religious popular fantasy were going to hell, I knew that either God was an idiot or they were telling me lies about God.

After careful deliberation I concluded that God was probably not an idiot.

Love and blessings Don

yes, there's also so much pressure and competition in the church. I wonder if we'll see more and more christians coming out of these churches and either meeting together in homes or just following God themselves without having to have a "minister" to keep them on track.

ok so basicaly he jst wants us to believe in him, spread his word, enjoy life, and become closer to him! im still searching for him more and more and will continue to for the rest of my life. Basicaly ask him to be close to you. You life is an everlasting journey with God. There is not such thing as knowing God "enough" ir having to much of his love. If you dont like your church then go to a new one, with people all of your age. Make sure its really livley and will do something for your faith. I have resently started going to a new church, with all youth people and I love it! it has helped so much with the beggining of my journey with God.
God bless. xxxx

The things that they tell you in church are scare tactics to convince you that you must conform or else.
The only thing you need to know about God is that it is Nature and everything in it, meaning that you are a very small piece of God, no less, no more. Live your life with a respect for humanity, and for all living things, and your consequences will be positive.

Hi Rori, I know what you mean, there are so many divisions in Christianity today that we are in danger of losing the true essence of the Gospel, too much in-fighting and competition going on and we have yet to obey the request of Christ that we be one as He and the Father are one.

God wants people to love one another even if its only for the sake of God. God wants people to commit acts of charity, not to tell lies, and spread misinformation. God wants us to tread lightly on earth, be kind to the needy, and not be obsessed with excesses. Live a pious life, thinking about God, and worshiping him in the proper way. God only wants what is good for us. ( not Christian , I am Muslim )

I have found the Way the Truth and the Life and that is Jesus Christ. You wont find that on Yahoo Answers. But take my word you will find it through drawing near to Christ via His Word.
