That’s his job.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Given that people who don't know about Christ don't have to go to hell, but people who have heard of him but don't believe in him DO go to hell, and given that a big part of the christian religion is going out and telling people about Christ, and given also that christians themselves are a pretty loathsome bunch who nobody really wants to be like, then I would say the main purpose of christianity must be to pack as many people into hell as possible. So yes, definitely a trick of Satan.

certain. He does all of it the time to those that are literally not listening to the Spirit of the Lord; We, as Christains, will continuously be tempted with assistance from the devil to do evil, notwithstanding the sin starts when we provide in to the temptation; notwithstanding, if the temptation isn't acted upon, then it dies unborn. Many were decieved into questioning that they are doing God's paintings, even as, in reality, they're getting used of the devil to promote his evil will, for instance is the actual undeniable actuality that the crusades were no longer of God, for they killed tens of millions of human beings; an identical holds authentic of the inquisition, the position the catholic "church" killed sixty 8 million human beings because thay did not favor to be catholic. it truly is for guidance that the Lord has given the born back believer the Holy Ghost, besides as to provide the believer with non secular presents that are had to strive against the devil; if the authentic believer merely waits on the Lord and listens to the Spirit of God, then the believer gained't fall into the devil's traps.

No I don`t see how this could be as Jesus was humble and obedient to His Father and his message of the Gospels are at complete odds with the disobedience and rebellion of satan.
I don`t think that God was satans Father as satan was a created Angel, and not begotten from the Father as Jesus was.

Of course, read the old testament then the new testament and compare the God between them. I expect there was some shady business going on somewhere along the lines.

either that or God on Prozac is a happy god.

No, Satan tried to kill off the Christians shortly after Jesus died. It wasn't until he was unsuccessful with that attempt that he resorted to creating false religions.
