Yes, it seems they want you to get an account you already have, just wait for a bit

There are two reasons for fewer icons:

1. For one of the few instances where yahoo-answers got it right, they prevented people from using improper icons and deleted many. Some morons were adding their own icons that were as much as 500 pixels tall, and some morons were using pornographic pictures. One of them (which I reported) was an image of a black male's genitalia and a racist "nickname".

2. For one of the MANY instances where yahoo-answers got it wrong, people CANNOT add or select an icon if you are not using Micropenis's Infernal Exploder web louser - oops, browser. Despite the fact that more and more people are using Firefox, Safari and Opera, yahoo still can't grasp the concept and allow profile editing by people using other browsers. (Microwhore's browser share has dropped from 95% to 70% in the past five years.)

There are various reasons already been suggested for this, some say yahoo has a major glitch going on while some like me believe that they are trying to eliminate pornographic material, but unfortunately they seem to have thrown the baby out with the bath water.

with the sheer amount of Q&As this site generates and all the mails and pictures etc. I'm amazed it works at all. So, a glitch _or_ your browser is getting screwy.

Force-refresh your page with CTRL+F5, see if that helps.
