A multivitamin will only give you your basic essential vitamins and minerals. You still need to have at the very minimum five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Your body needs the fiber, antioxidants and phytochemicals. Five a day is a very easy goal to reach.

Yes, the multivitamins will not give you the fibre the '5 a day' will. You need to vary the selection too. Its not that hard to do, buy fresh where possible, get a blender, make a smoothie for breakfast, take fresh fruit with you to nibble as snacks, or carrots.

You will not really get all you need with vitamins....

There's more fun ways of getting your 5 a day.
Mix a bunch of fresh fruit and make a smoothie!!

Very few patients get tangible benefit from vitamin tablets. Comparisons have been done however and it looks like vitamin tablets do not tend to have the same protective effects as fresh fruit and vegetables in the diet, particularly as far as cancer prevention is concerned. Most of us believe the evidence is in favour of good diet.

Yes, multivitamins are not real, they are just chemical supplements. You still need to eat proper food (fruits etc../)
