Suppose I am staying at a five star hotel and feel like ordering 'pizza' of my choice at my room, can i do it ? Will I be offending the hotel people ? How do I go about doing it in case its perfectly okey to do so.

Yes, you can order your favorite kind of pizza in your room. The hotel employees don't mind. There are a couple of ways to do this. You can call the pizza place and have them deliver (but they may not be able to come up to the room, depending on hotel security, access to elevators, and also depending on the pizza company's policy on hotel deliveries. you may have to come down to meet them). You can also try having the pizza delivery person deliver to the front desk and have the front desk bring someone to deliver to your room as a room service.

Good luck.

Yes..See Barb's answer. For security reasons they may not allow a delivery person go up to your room. Just look in the local phone book and choose a pizza shop. You might have to call a few before you find one that will deliver to your hotel. It shouldn't offend the hotel unless they have pizza available.

Its fine. They're going to want some, too. By the way, no offense, but the "hotel people" work at a hotel. They can't really be pointing too many fingers. You're called a GUEST for a reason. Don't worry about them. You're very considerate and socially conscious, though. Good things.

it would depend on if it is a gated hotel or not, but generally there is no problem with having outside food delivered.

I work in the hotel industry and I asked my co-workers we have never heard of an instance where hotels would not allow you to have out side food delivered to your hotels.

However I mentioned the gated ones, some of them have no admittance policies for non-guests, i would guess they may not allow an outside delivery but I would think that is pretty rare since the objective is to please the guest

any how enjoy.

Add on: Many higher end hotels, or hotels with large Kitchens often times have pizza on the menu.

At a true 5-star hotel, they wouldn't even bat an eye! after all, they want their guests to feel comfortable. Just call down to the front desk to inform them. In the unlikely instance they might have a policy against that, they will tell you.

You sure can! You order it the same way you do at home. They may require you to meet them in the lobby if the hotel has a policy of guests only past the main lobby.

I've done it. There's no problem getting food delivered to a hotel.

In fact plenty of hotels, even fancy five-star ones, have kick-back arrangements with local restaurants, and will place menu cards in your room.

Yes, I've ordered pizzas from hotels before, its never been a problem. Sometimes, they may charge extra or ask you to pay in advance.

definite, I actual have, a pair of situations, the two working for Domino's oddly sufficient. (not counting the guy from Pizza Hut as quickly as--the guy completely sounded woman on the telephone and confirmed up a dude...it took me some doing to maintain a straight away face, pay the guy and deliver him on his way....)
