There is a new fire engine in ireland and there using the old one for false alarms. was that funny?

Maybe I don't really appreciate the slant of the factual nature of this joke.

But no, I didn't laugh. Sorry.


Please give a little explanation for we fools that don't get it. I'll be wondering all day, what's funny about that.

How do the firemen know its a false alarm before they get to wherever they're going? There's no way they can tell whether to use the old engine or not.

I mean, if they actually KNOW that it's a false alarm in the first place....ohh, I give up.

Not really. It's falling back on tired old ethnic stereotype, it's chock full of grammar and punctuation errors, which detracts from the 'how stupid are the Irish' theme that it relies on for it's humour.
