What else is written on this revolver? The .44 Winchester should be .44 Winchester-Center-Fire or .44-40 WCF.

I've heard rumors that Winchester did actually manufacture a limited run of revolvers, but I thought they were all .38 Specials. I don't think your revolver is a Winchester; I think it is a revolver chambered for Winchester ammunition, either the .44 Special or the .44-40 Winchester.

The 'da' should stand for 'double-action,' but I didn't think it was available in 1874. I don't have a clue what the 'au' could be.

Best,
