This is a question in the category of Women's Premier League.
Arsenal Ladies were founding members of the Women's Premier League National Division in 1992.
(the men's team were elected to what was the English League Division One in 1919 and have never been relegated since. They had finished the previous season in 6th place in Division Two, but they were elected even though the fourth and fifth place team were not - some say bribery was involved, although the official reason was that Arsenal were said to be able to attract larger away crowds, so league clubs voted for Arsenal to be elected anyway to the top division)

Arsenal Football Club (also known as Arsenal, The Arsenal or The Gunners) are an English professional football club based in north London. They play in the FA Premier League and are one of the most successful clubs in English football. Arsenal have won thirteen First Division and Premier League titles, ten FA Cups and in 2005–06 became the first London club to reach the UEFA Champions League final. Arsenal are also members of the G-14 group of leading European football clubs.
Arsenal were founded in 1886, in Woolwich, south-east London, but in 1913 they moved north across the city to Arsenal Stadium, Highbury. In May 2006 they left Highbury, moving to their current home, the Emirates Stadium in nearby Ashburton Grove, Holloway. Arsenal have a long-standing and fierce rivalry with neighbours Tottenham Hotspur, located four miles away in Tottenham, with whom they have contested the North London derby almost every season since 1913

They were never promoted!!!!!
They bought their way into the 1st Division in 1916 when there was a vote to extend the 1st div . spurs finished bottom and chelsea finished 2nd from the bottom, therefore spurs should have been saved from the drop, However arsenal had finished 5th in the 2nd div before the war so therefore should not have been promoted.
They BRIBED their way in at the expence of spurs and have never been out .
In 1927 they were charged with financial irregularity's but the charges were mysteriously dropped.
