Use them as disposable ash trays.
Buy a candle making kit so you can make your own tea lights.
Start seedlings off in them
Grow cress in them (one is big enough for a sandwich)
Stick them to a board and use them as a desk tidy.

I put little flowers in water, into them, which mask the holder. Then I get tiny 'vases' of flowers around the place, which last longer than the original tea light.
Plus can then be reused for something else. Need councils to start collecting them for recycling. Must be valuable, due to the metal.
Good luck! rob

I'm saving them too. I want to try to make cement stepping stones with them. I guess I would make a round cement base with a mold , maybe an old cake tin lined with plastic, then fill the tea light holders with cement . Then, when the cement is dry, if they don't come out easily (maybe I'll spray with veg.oil first) I'll just cut them off & re-cycle them) Then I'll cement them to the base & paint with outdoor paint. Sounds good in theory, anyway.

Have children place some play dough into them and stick plastic or silk flowers into the dough. Makes a good homemade Valentines or Mother's day gift.

1. Buy candle making stuff from a craft store and simply reuse them for new candles.
2. If you have a garden or allotment thread them on strings and hang between canes to scare birds away from your seeds.
